What most people miss about sun salutation however is the mantras. When performing these asanas (postures) you must absolutely remember what they are. Paying respect to the Sun. The god who gives us energy. Always perform it in the morning or evening while sun is still in the sky. Then always face the direction of sun. If you can actually feel the sun rays that is even better.
Loudly an in clear word utter each of the Sun’s names before actually starting each iteration. You need to do 12 iterations of Surya Namaskaras. After doing 12 do a final 13th one without chanting the mantra.
